
I have a solid foundation in food service and an interest in the field, with readiness to learn and develop in this environment. Brings foundational understanding of food safety and guidelines, along with an understanding for food handling and safety. Ready to use and develop culinary skills and new techniques.
I have been in the food service industry for almost 2 years now doing all sorts of things including customer service, food preparation, food making/production, etc. I have also taken multiple foods classes at my school including introduction to foods, baking and pastry, culinary 1, and culinary 2 which I am currently taking. With my time working with food and the people in the food industry I have developed a passion for food and working with it. I have volunteered in the past at my school store and am currently looking for more volunteer opportunities.
In school I was in multiple foods classes. In introduction to foods I learned the basics of food and food safety and I really enjoyed that class and the opportunity to learn more about food. During my sophomore year I was in baking and pastry and culinary 1 in the first I learned many different things about baking and how to make different things and a little bit of the science behind them. Culinary 1 I had more freedom to come up with recipes and make them and share them with the people in the class which I really enjoyed and now I am currently taking culinary 2.
