Inventory control, pick in aisles on pallet jack equipment while carrying two pallet for each their own truck.
You collect a paper and stickers called "Batch" full of information of what items you're picking and where on the pallet it needs to go.
At the beginning of your shift you collect a headset called a "Vocalet" and that headset will talk you through your shift like will inform you where to go and will guide you through your pick walk as in destination where an item your pallet needs.
To activate your pallet as in to know what your picking you tell your Vocalet a 4 digit code thats on your batch paper.
We would pick light or heavy items while using proper lifting techniques, items can weigh up to 60 pounds.
In between picks/stacking we would also have to shrink wrap stacked pallets full of items to stabilize them, without support taking a turn to fast can knock them down.
And finally drop off the pallets at there designated docking station.
Beginning of shift you will collect a vocalet which is a headset with a battery pack you carry on you, the vocalet will guide you through and where and in what aisle you need to select an item and bring back to your tote.
You have a tote on your conveyor belt which you will fill up with items being shipped.
You are on foot starting from the first aisle you will pick what the vocalet tells you to select and you will confirm the item by announcing the 3 digit code and the vocalet will confirm with you by announcing a number which means how many of that item your supposed to pick, if you are done selecting items in that aisle the vocalet will announce that you are done and will tell you to walk to the next location which is the next aisle.
You will bring back every item you selected to the tote on the conveyor belt until you are done selecting items from all aisles, you will be announced that you are complete with your tote by the vocalet and will proceed to tell you to start a new tote.
You will send your tote through the automated conveyor belt after you are completed and will be sent to the docking station.
You will be assigned a location with different cities in utah.
Bluff dale, Vineyard, Orem, Etc.
Packages with city names will come down the conveyor belt, you will have to find packages assigned to your cities and will place them next to there designated spot with a sign of that city.
After hours of repeating the same job they will be stacked up and organized by there sign and truck drivers will come and collect there packages to deliver.
Packages may vary in weigh up to 50lbs.
Specialized in the dairy freezer
Grab a cart full of that days dairy stock, each associate will have there own cart, one cart can be cream cheese and juices, another cart can be Milk, heavy whipping cream, whip cream, etc, while other can be eggs bread and cinnamon rolls.
Backroom would have to be counted and matched up with our zebra device to make sure stock matches up with our inventory.
By the end of the shift if we collected expired or damaged products that would be opened and dumped in buckets all together.
Would stand in the back of the store at a Amazon Recovery stand.
There would be signs at the entrance of the store pointing to the back leading to amazon returns.
If people returned an amazon package they would get an address where to return it and that would be one location they can be appointed too.
I would scan there returned amazon box, it will tell me where its gonna get returned/Shipped too, Las Vegas, Colorado, California, Etc, and i would place it on the pallet of the matching location.
A printer i have nearby will print a 50% deal off for the store and i would hand it to the customer.
I would use a machine called The Mule, to put on the back of one cart and i would walk the parking lot to collect every cart or as much as i could stack and bring back to the cart bay for customers to use, carts get sanitized before going in the bay.
