I worked twelve hour overnights starting at six p.m., I would go in to work and get people ready for bed. I would pass out snacks. Once it hit ten p.m. my job was call lights/general upkeep until it was time for rounds. I was tasked with cleaning wheelchairs, hairbrushes and combs, restocking rooms, wiping down the devices (iPads and computers) used by nursing staff with bacterial wipes to disinfect. We did two sets of rounds on overnights. I was tasked with emptying catheters and reporting outputs, changing patients that need it, reporting concerns to my charge nurse, etc.

I’m going to paste what I wrote for the other travel aide position.

As a traveling CNA, I would go to different towns to work in their nursing homes. I worked all shifts. I would report to the charge nurse and learn where I was needed. I am trained in aiding with all activities of daily living: eating, bathing, toileting, changing clothes, catheters/ostomy/nephrostomy care, and more. I know to report concerns to my charge nurse. I am familiar with charting as well.
