Cases Performed
cardiology cases
1.coronary interventions such as Angiograms and Angioplasty
2.primary PCI acute setting (MI,ACS)
3.valvular interventions like BMV,BPV and BAV
4.device implantation like dual chamber , single chamber pacemaker ICD, CRTd and ILR
5. Device closure ASD,VSD,PDA and RSOV(rare)
6.all diagnostic procedure like coronary angiogram, carotid, renal ,peripheral,Aortic root, cerebral etc...
7.pericardiocentosis (pericardial fluid aspiration)
8. Right and Left Heart catheterization interpreting PCE,PA,RA,RV pressures and waveforms measuring cardiac out put through theremodilution method and FICK method.
9.2D/3D Electro physiology cases and ablation maping used system NAVIX
10. TAVI and LAA CLOSURE device
11.IVUS (Intravascular ultra sound), FFR fractional flow reserve, IFR system volcano
12.IABP, IVC filter, temporary pacemaker etc....
Interventional Radiology:
1.Hepatic,Gastric,bronchial artery embolization etc..
2.peripheral angiograms, and angioplasty drug coated balloons angioplasty.
neurointerventions:
Acute stroke thrombus extraction (solitaire device )
carotid angiograms and angioplasty using filters
cerebral coiling
Ensure adherence to departmental policies and provide high standard of safe practice for patient care at all Items.
Ensure adequate and proper, medical supplies are available including daily stocks and orders of different Types of disposables in the Cath lab for both adult and pediatrics.
Assist with the purchasing and follow-ups of Cath lab requirements, Administer and coordinate technical activities involved in the operation and maintenance of Catheterization equipment
Insure that equipment is electrically safe and properly calibrated.
Perform a variety of technical and supportive patients care tasks; and assist physician in performing Procedures.
Scrub for all types of diagnostic and interventional procedures such as PTCA, stenting, Atherectomy and Rotablator ablation, pulmonary, aortic and mitral valve dilation, coarctation of aorta dilation, PDA closure with umbrella and coil occluders. Foreign body retrievals, permanent pacemaker implantation and programing.
Set Cath lab, equipment's and instruments for diagnostic and interventional procedures and collaborating with colleagues to help ensure a safe environment for patient and staff. To anticipate cardiologist needs during case and responses quickly during emergencies.
Hemodynamics (Right and Left heart study)
Intra‑ aortic balloon pump (in emergency)
Pacemakers (Temporary and Permanent) bedside
Left and right side heart catheterization (Diagnostic) Interventional cardiac and vascular procedures (PTCA, PCI/Stenting.
Endovascular grafting Stenting.
Pediatric (Diagnostic and interventional procedures, such as PDA, ASD VSD RSOV.
Interested Ability to assess situation and keep the item ready for next step of procedure Observing and monitoring patients on telemetry and management of patient acting accordingly in emergency
make sure all arterial line are patent all the time during procedure observing ECG rhythm pressure wave forms for any damping or ventricularisation
Cardiac electro physiology experience.
Intracardiac electrophysiology. AVNRT (AV nodal reentry tachycardia)
b. WPW syndrome (presence of accessory pathways),
c. AVRT (atrioventricular reentry tachycardia)
d. and Ablation)Atrial tachycardia.(3d Mapping)
Responsibilities;
Make sure all the hardware for procedure are ready (tri‑port sheath 14fr, Quatri polar catheters, Deca‑polar catheter, femoral sheaths, sterile Ablation cable and catheters thermistor catheters or ablation catheters with 4mm tip or 8mm tip, irrigated and Non-irrigated and different curves.
Quatri patch, ablation pedal, and proper ECG placement of leads) make sure all the connections before procedure including junction box) prepare defibrillator attaching patches for VT ablations observing and monitoring temperature and power throughout procedure.
adjusting software gains for a channel specially his catheter gain and mapping catheter gain to see HIS signal. During ablation.
Operating EP system during procedure. carefully monitoring all the signals back up RV pacing during ablation. AVNRT ablation more chances for complete heart block due to catheter position change
