James Elrod

I oversee a team of nearly 20 part-time graders for a college-level English Composition II course. I manage course concerns from learners, audit grading quality/efficiency, edit and approve timesheets, adjust course rubrics and instructions as needed, conduct annual performance reviews, and participate in leadership trainings and initiatives.

In addition to my own coursework, research, writing, conference presentations, and professional development, I assistant-taught and solo-taught and graded for various courses in film, television, and media. I designed my own lessons and syllabi. I successfully applied for and obtained prestigious research fellowships as well.

I graded essays part-time in English composition, US history, and world religions for an online, self-paced college-level learning platform.

I planned, taught, managed, and graded for numerous English courses at various high school levels, including all grades 9-12. My most recent course load was teaching pre-IB English 9 and International Baccalaureate English 11.

I taught English language and literature at a dual-accredited, non-international bilingual K-12 school.
