  • Project Description: The Workflow engine of the OSS-SMART strives to tie up the various applications in a seamless workflow and automatically route tasks to various applications based on the process definition. A workflow defines a series of activities to be performed to achieve a given task. A workflow activity involves invoking of an OSS application such as Provisioning, Mediation or an activity, which requires manual interventions. The sequence of activities to be carried out is modeled using a GUI, which in turn defines a Workflow. The Workflow hence modeled is stored in a database. The Workflow core engine invokes the various applications in the same sequence as described by modeling. The Workflow engine is threaded, which enables multiple applications to be invoked simultaneously. The Workflow engine has provisions for Recovery, that is incomplete workflows can be resumed at a later point of time. The workflow engine is developed as an RMI server.
  • Involved in testing of the Core Workflow Engine Module. Preparation of unit test, integration test cases and test strategy.
  • Environment : Java 1.2.2 on Windows NT with Oracle 8.0.6 as back end. Visual Source Safe, Rational Rose.
  • Project Description: ARISg stands for Adverse Reaction Information System-global. ARISg software keeps track of Adverse Reactions caused by drugs/medicines administered to a patient or a healthy human being. This is a Web based version of ARISg(Adverse Reaction Information System)which provides online information regarding the adverse reactions. This product was developed to provide the e-commerce market to ARISg. This product enables the customers to access the ARISg database from a remote location without the actual installation of the product at their sites. The ARISg module is composed of two COM components knows as the database server and web page server. When the data is requested from the web page, the web page communicates to the webpage server, which in turn requests the database server to fetch the data from the database. The data reaches the webpage through the webpage server.
  • Involved in testing of Data base server and Web page server. Involved in testing the client-server application.
  • Environment : VC++ 5.0 with COM for development of Components on Windows NT. ORACLE 8 as the back end. HTML, ASP for web page designs. IIS as webserver. Rational Rose-98 for modeling and VSS 98 for configuration management.
