I am a recently retired Educator for the Deaf/Early Childhood Special Education Teacher from Springfield Public Schools (30 years) and a volunteer Scouts BSA Leader (15 years) and I am very interested in becoming the Events Project Manager for Convoy of Hope. I enjoy working with people of all ages and building relationships. I believe a strong connection with clients, team members, and volunteers is a major building block for helping to build community and creating memorable and successful events for the client. I am a strong candidate for the Events Project Manager position because of my ability to envision, plan, organize, and bring to completion big and small events. I have served on many committees and teams through the education system and for Scouting BSA and have planned many events from Cub Scout Day Camp for the Ozarks Trails Council to the Transportation Fair involving a variety of community members and benefitting approximately 250 children for the Early Childhood Special Education program. I am a highly motivated individual with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. I possess a strong work ethic, organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow through. I am passionate about serving others and sharing the love of Jesus. For these reasons, I believe that I am a great candidate for the Events Project Manager for Convoy of Hope.
During my 29 years with Springfield Public Schools and 1 year with the Branson School District, I taught 7 years at Holland Elementary as a Teacher for the Deaf (K-2), 1 year in Early Childhood Special Education for Branson Public Schools, 3 years as a second grade teacher at Rountree Elementary School, and 19 years as a Teacher for the Deaf and Early Childhood Special Education teacher for Springfield Public Schools at Horace Mann Elementary, Mallory Early Childhood Center, and Delaware Elementary School. In addition, I have filled in for a Critical Shortage position with SPS since retiring in May. The following is a partial list of accomplishments.
