Responsible for all aspects of field office operations to include hiring and the initial background investigation associated with new hires, management of field office budget, training, personnel matters, as well as the management of criminal investigations and employee investigations involving performance, conduct, and violations of workplace policy and procedures. Author detailed reports related to all employee workplace violations, and serve as the agency deciding official, or recommending official issuing suggested course of action or resolution on all personnel matters. Conducted thousands of interviews of suspects, informants, victims, and witnesses and prepared comprehensive reports and affidavits that were thorough and complex. Executed search and arrest warrants, and transported and processed arrestees.
Received Criminal Investigator of the Year award from the U.S. Attorney's Office, Central District of California for the successful multi-indictment investigation involving misbranded drugs, that resulted in the death of an 18-month-old infant. During the course of this multi-jurisdictional investigation, conducted numerous target and witness interviews, collected and processed critical evidence in accordance with the rules of criminal procedure, coordinated and simultaneously executed 13 search warrants, and served 15 arrest warrants.
Case agent for a high-priority criminal investigation in the Southern District of California. Conducted multiple complex interviews with targets and witnesses, served hundreds of subpoenas, authored several thorough Reports of Investigations and Memorandum of Interviews, and testified before the Grand Jury. Created and maintained a comprehensive electronic evidence tracking system for approximately 30,000 documented adverse event reports discovered during the course of the investigation. The data organized in this electronic tracking system was critical to the eventual guilty plea of the company's founder.

Independently planned, organized and conducted complex employee investigations including program fraud, travel voucher fraud, time and attendance falsification, theft, arson, aggravated assault, and the use, sale and distribution of narcotics.
Routinely utilized analytical techniques when investigating time and attendance falsification, travel voucher fraud, and labor law violations. For example, during the course of working a contractor fraud investigation, thoroughly analyzed thousands of time and attendance records for a National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) contractor who was found to be inflating the hours of their employees.
Responsible for routinely monitoring the NARA, Office of Inspector General (OIG) hotline, and following up on calls received. Established standard operating procedures for the NARA OIG hotline that were followed by all investigative and audit personnel within the OIG. Also, in an effort to promote the OIG and develop additional investigations, created the NARA OIG hotline poster that was displayed in all NARA facilities nationwide. The number of hotline calls received doubled after the dissemination of the posters.
Planned, organized and implemented the NARA OIG Fraud Deterrent Program, the first ever of its kind at the NARA OIG. Independently traveled extensively to several presidential libraries, national records centers, and regional archives to conduct audits, meet with personnel, discuss the role of the OIG, and answer employee questions. As part of the program, routinely gave presentations in front of hundreds of employees which resulted in the development of new investigations for the OIG, as well as additional leads in ongoing investigations.
