As a school based occupational therapist I support academic and nonacademic outcomes. I conduct skilled, client centered occupational therapy evaluations, develop appropriate goals, and plan targeted evidence-based interventions based on evaluation results. As a school based occupational therapist having clear written and oral communication skills is one of my strengths, along with establishing therapeutic relationships with my students. I participate in a multidisciplinary team, contribute to individualized education plans and 504 plans, and aid in response to intervention planning.

As an independent contract employee for Beech Hill School, it was my job to conduct skilled occupational therapy evaluations, establish appropriate goals, and conduct evidence based individualized occupational therapy interventions.

As an independent contract occupational therapist stepping in to provide coverage for a maternity leave, it was my job to utilize information provided in individualized education plans, 504 plans, progress reports, and the occupational therapist's data collection systems to plan evidence-based intervention plans for students. It was my job to utilize written and oral communication to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team during the occupational therapists maternity leave.

While working for RehabCare I served on an interdisciplinary team working to develop individualized care plans for patients within a skilled nursing facility. While working for RehabCare I evaluated patients, developed treatment plans to enhance occupational engagement, communicated patient's progress supervisors and other team members, documented care, and supervised COTA's.

While working at Down East Family YMCA I served as a camp counselor, summer camp director, toddler room childcare provider, and after school program director. In these many roles I was responsible for overseeing staff, organizing and coordinating field trips and activities, managing budgets for programs, utilizing effective communication skills, planning and executing creative lesson planning, and working as part of a team.
