Support District-Wide Implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support
• Implements the vision and builds buy-in for MTSS work across central departments and
teams
• Supports schools and monitors the development of MTSS systems and dedicated teams
to enhance targeted behavioral support for students
• Utilizes instructional expertise to enhance the efficacy of tier 1 and tier 2 interventions
and practices within Tulsa Public Schools
• Collaborates with members of the data team to provide technical assistance to schools
on leveraging district data tools to access and complete data analysis around student
attendance and behavior
• Collaborates with the Executive Director of Student and Family Support Services to
design and facilitate professional learning with district and school staff around MTSS and
culture and climate initiatives (i.e. MTSS Champions, counselors, deans, administrators)
• Provides and connects schools to professional development opportunities that support
site-specific goals
Culture and Climate Initiatives
• Conducts regular reviews of district-wide attendance and behavior data, identifying
actionable steps for improvement
• Assesses and addresses the professional development needs of faculty and staff to
effectively recognize and implement strategies aimed at reducing student bullying
• Conducts semi-annual administration of district-wide climate and culture surveys to
assess staff and student perceptions
• Collaborates with key stakeholders in the surveying process including district partners,
school leaders, teachers, and members of the central office data team
• Develops training plans for Building Test Coordinators to support the site-level
implementation of surveys
• Compiles and presents survey findings to district and school leadership after each
survey window
Managing Inter-Departmental Partnerships and Leveraging Expertise:
• Plans strategically and manages complex work streams to ensure success of overall RTI
and MTSS work with ambitious performance measures for individual projects while
leveraging partners from across Tulsa Public Schools
• Creates detailed timelines and project plans; assesses and tracks progress and
communicates progress and outcomes to a range of stakeholders; ensures direct
reports are held accountable to results and outcomes
• Works collaboratively with instructional leadership directors, counseling team and
curriculum and instruction team
• Monitors process to ensure compliance and adherence to district procedures, state
guidelines and federal regulations
• Supports MTSS staff development activities for school based and district personnel
