I am responsible for all aspects of running the dietary department.
I make the dietary schedule, monitor daily punches, approve payroll.
I review menus, complete inventory using order guides, complete food orders. I work with the food budget given to me.
I enter invoices into cost control tools. Approve invoices .
I attend department head meetings daily in the mornings and afternoons.
I participate in QAPI meetings monthly.
I attend care plan meetings with residents and their family.
I attend resident council monthly.
I visit residents to check on food preferences and meal satisfaction.
I monitor monthly weights and communicate with nursing and physician on any concerns.
I communicate with the RD as needed with diet concerns.
I use Mealtracker system for menus. meal tickets,meal production and recipes.
I monitor department daily for cleanliness, ensure sanitation is being followed, ensure food temperatures and equipment temperatures are recorded and within proper temperatures.

I completed the employees schedule and enter into payroll system. Approved payroll.
Assisted with employee hiring process. And training employees.
I worked with the Gerimenu system which included entering new menus for seasons for all diets, adding new residents into the system, updating diets and food preferences. Generating menus. Printing selective menus, then entering selective menus when returned. Printed meal tickets and production sheets for employees to use for meal service. I prepared production books and recipe books for all cooks.
I completed all food orders using order guides, completing inventory. Worked with the Neighborhood Grill employees to order requested foods.
I kept track of all food cost, food,supplements,supplies, other department food cost, census. Information given to GM to report to client.
I made sure all temperature logs were out monthly. Monitored that temperatures were being recorded and were appropriate.
