We Maintain general aviation aircraft while complying with FAA regulations and proper documentation. My general responsibility is to diagnose air frame and power plant discrepancies and properly address them to maintain proper performance and safety of the aircraft. We maintain Turbine, turbo prop, and prop power plants that require knowledge and understanding of each system and how to maintain them. This also involves constructing wire harnesses and running wires to various components of the air frame. We also operate on hydraulic pumps driven by the power plant to supply various boost pumps and hydraulic ballasts throughout the aircraft to maintain proper pressure and flow to essential equipment and to the fuel cells.
In this role I ensured that the process to produce PTA from start to finish is conducted in a safe and efficient manner. This includes managing small teams to reach a common end goal of performing specified maintenance on equipment. I am also responsible for adjusting the chemical process to ensure a timely and cost-efficient process is maintained or improved and to make sure the final product is satisfactory for our customers specifications.
I oversaw all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems aboard a tugboat. Responsibilities including managing fuel pressure & flow, regulating hydraulic pump pressure and temperatures, monitoring engine coolant temperature, pressure, and flow. Also operating fuel, bilge, ballast pumps and transferring liquids into vessels while complying with USCG and OSHA standards of safety and documenting all steps along the way and following SOP's.
