
Successful former Military police officer transitioning from the US Army Military Police (MP) to civilian law enforcement -- tour of duty ended December 2013. Highly motivated to leverage three years of achievements during MP career and three years of volunteer Sheriff's Explorer work to provide dedicated service for a Law Enforcement Agency. Qualifications include; Comprehensive field training; and extensive experience in safety patrol, security details, Enforcement of traffic regulations and public-service activities.
•Assigned to patrol in one of the geographic sectors of Fort Carson
•Responding to calls for service from the community
•Conducting preliminary investigations at crime scenes
•Familiar with UCMJ/CRS/USC Code
•Investigating traffic related incidents
•Driving and safe operation of police vehicles
•Documenting incidents in police reports and gathering of evidence
•Searching, pursuing and detaining suspects
•Responding to burglar and robbery alarms
•Making arrests
•Enforcing traffic and parking laws
•Participating in Community Policing activities
•Working with other police department units as well as other local, state, and federal entities
•Preparing for and attending court appearances
•Participating in mandatory and elective training
•Keeping proficient with firearms and self-defense
