• Deliver bedside care to patients in a busy 15-bed ICU unit for trauma, post-surgical, and inpatient surgeries patients
• Provide direct medical care to patients needing intensive medical treatment, including those with septic shock, cardiogenic shock, and respiratory failure
• Overseeing unit as charge
• Monitored patient condition by interpreting and tracking EKG readings, identifying irregular telemetry readings and updating team members on changes in stability or acuity.
• Coordinate the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, evaluation, and monitoring of critically ill patients, utilizing a multidisciplinary plan of care
• Ensure 100% accuracy and completeness when documenting procedures, patient conditions, and the administration of medication
• Managing titratable drips such as vasodilators, antiarrhythmics, vasopressors, sedatives, paralytics and opioids.

Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Ortho/Neuro (June 2021-July 2022)

• Proficiently Provide patient care to four to six patient
• Ensure medication therapy needs are met in a timely manner
• Educate patients on steps to take to manage pain and how to avoid post-surgical infections
• Monitor and quickly attend to any signs of negative reactions to drugs and allergies
• Monitor volume and site of jp and hemovac drains
• Knowledge of proper access of a central line
• Properly ambulate and assist ortho/ neuro patients with ADLs
• Accurately chart patient assessments, vitals, and changes
• Put in orders accurately per physician request

• Provides patient care, consistent with medical plans of care, for one to three patients
• Physical assessment, including but not limited to, listening to heart, lung, and bowel sounds with a stethoscope, checking incisions, and observing other factors, depending on the individual patient
• Receiving and giving verbal reports on each patient at the start/end of each clinical experience
• Charting via data entered into the computer
• Helping patients with daily ADLS
• Starting IVs, inserting foley catheters
• Coordinates patient care with other hospital departments, including Cardiac Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy, Dietary, and Social Service.
