In May 2023 I graduated with my Master's degree in counseling and as of September 2023, I have been working as a substance use therapist at Central Alabama Wellness. During these 9 months, I have accumulated over 1100 direct hours of therapy and have been dedicated to improving my understanding of clients and pursuing education in therapuetic modalities like DBT and IFS. While I am currently working as a substance use therapist, my interests as a therapist go well beyond substance use. I have a passion for working with adolescents and young men, to serve clients during formative times in their lives is something that I cherish. I have received training for play therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and have received certifications in Psychological first aid, Gottman Couples Therapy, and Prepare/Enrich. I have worked with clients from dierent cultures, socioeconomic statuses, and ages. I strive to create a warm/ non-judgmental for all clients. I believe that people are harmed in relationships, but healed in relationships as well. My goal is to build a healing therapeutic alliance with all of my clients.
