Ocean Export Operations

Managed FCL shipments for agent routed clients

· Establishes contact with export customers, suppliers, warehousing facilities, and overseas agents to coordinate export schedules, freight/cargo details, and timelines.

· Communicates and coordinates vessel schedules and container loading dates across all levels of managements

· Liaise container loading schedules between clients and trucking dispatch

· Creates export bookings and disseminates vessel information, updates on-board dates to clients, partners, and suppliers

· Manages real time container and vessel tracking information for accuracy, up to date reporting for customers and agent partners

· Evaluates invoice payables for accuracy and disputes

· Tracks relevant industry changes, market developments, regulation and service disruptions (GRI, trade embargo, fuel increase, terminal closures, vessel routing updates,)

· Improves and builds vendor, partner agent, and client business relationships

Organize ocean export shipments for multiple customers utilizing the most cost-efficient routings available

· Coordinates FCL and LCL shipping schedules, container drayage, and trucking pickups for domestic and international customers.

· Obtains ocean freight pricing, and trucking rates and provide customer quotations based on specific routing and commodity types.

· Secures carrier bookings and coordinate loading schedules between warehouse, trucking , ocean carriers, and port/rail handlers.

· Manages submission of export documents, hazardous requirements, and shipping instructions to meet daily deadlines.

· Reviews various export compliance rules and regulations: AES Filing, FMC rate filing, DOT guidelines, and other country specific laws/procedures.

· Resonsible for processing letters of credit, carnets, Bill o lading and other commercial documents for export fullfilment.

· In charge of reviewing and issuing billing invoices to clients.

· Reviews and approves accounts payable several trucking vendors, ocean carriers, and co-loaders

· Monitors rates, market changes and several industry factors that affect vendor rates.

· Evaluates and process hazmat shipments for accuracy and compliane for multiple types of commodities

· Constantly communicates with different destination offices for rates, vessel sailing schedules, operation issues, vessel delay and pre-alert documents

Creates bills of lading for customers exporting goods and commodities to othercountries · Reviews and monitors export bill of lading info for accuracy and readiness

·Process customer requests for revision and alteration for cargo details, and vessel manifest

· Responsible for submitting vessel manifests for US customs export declaration for all east coast port of calls.

· Monitors and prepares vessel arrival schedule and cross-examine against customs manifests for timely submission

· Liase with overseas destinatoin ofces for documentation compliance for in-country rules and regulations
