Started out at FoodTown now Known as FoodLion in 1979, in High School. The day I Graduated, I turned Full Time, month later I was the Grocery Manager. I was still 17 years old at the time. Time I started there was only 61 stores when i left to open my own business there was over 1100 stores. When I left Food Lion I was working on multiple projects for Food Lion. I was The Assistant Manager in the Williamston, N.C. Store. I was the Grocery Manager trainer(Which trained all upcoming Store Managers in the Grocery end.) Also worked undercover for Loss Prevention For Food Lion under George Segar (Vice President of Loss Prevention) Bob Segar's Brother. I had a very large territory which was from Ahoskie N.C. to the beaches of N.C. and Myrtle Beach South Carolina. I covered Inventory Shortages, Employee Theft. I left from there to start my own business which was a video store in 1992.
I was in the video business for 5 years, transition into Cellular Sales. I open multiple Cellular Stores with U.S. Cellular. I currently have 4 stores in operation. I will be closing these on July 1, 2022. U.S. Cellular is not renewing my Agent Contract. and turning a very profitable store into a Corporate Store, giving another store to another agent and closing two all together.
