Lone Java EE developer in a .NET/COBOL shop. Solutions delivered included a B2B EDI exchange hub between aerospace division and Boeing using webMethods EAI server; a web application to maintain Boeing assembly configuration data and generate packing and shipping labels for manufacturing engineers; a Java application for synchronizing part schedule information by pulling XML from a Boeing web site on a weekly basis; • Transformed incoming EDI purchase-orders and change requests into electronic documents and automatically filed them into DocuShare, a searchable Web-based document archive from Xerox.

Successfully converted reinsurance treaty data from a purchased company for Hartford Reinsurance. Modified a legacy in-house app using HartRe C++ framework and STL data structures. Worked with business analysts and database administrators to iterate to a final, balanced solution. Overall treaty balances were within 1.8% of required total of $161M; two previous in-house attempts failed to produce a satisfactory result.

Lead developer of the first B2B system to exchange ACORD XML data between The Hartford P&C and brokers via the Web. The system went into production in Sep-2000; the last remnants of the original code base were retired in 2005. The project was honored with the Chairman's Award, an award given annually to the most outstanding software project of the year.

Applications include transient heat transfer of single crystal turbine blades in a vacuum chamber; superplastic forming of 6-4 Ti hollow fan blade; curing of composite parts; forming of composite farings in collaboration with Lockheed-Martin.
