Elliot Balzereit

I'm 22 years old and I will be studying at Cal State Long Beach starting in Spring 2025. I am excited to be enrolled in CSULB's Kinesiology program, option in Fitness. I have a passion for helping others and enjoy an active lifestyle. I was inspired to work in the healthcare industry starting at a young age and my goal is to become an occupational therapist. I am extremely hardworking and take pride in everything I do. I have worked multiple jobs and obtained a CNA certification. I have volunteer experience as a CNA and have provided in-home care for a family friend and my own grandmother. During these last two summers I worked as a deck boss on a commercial fishing boat in Alaska. I taught, managed, and assisted two deckhands throughout extreme conditions and situations. Any opportunity to assist others in a physical or medical setting will contribute to my career path in occupational therapy.
