Briefly, I was a flex officer first, before staying at one post indefinitely. I drove all over Kentucky and did an extraordinary number of different tasks and special events before I finally got the opportunity to get a post close to home.
Now on to the automatically generated "look at me, I'm special" bullet points down bellow:
Security-focused and diligent Guard skilled at protecting personnel and premises. Responds and acts appropriately to situational assessments, including criminal acts and fire and medical emergencies remaining alert, attentive and vigilant at all times. Anticipates trouble and takes steps to intervene and diffuse using keen eye for detail. Communicative security personnel with significant physical strength and stamina. Firearms trained and knowledgeable of proper usage. Familiar with various tools of trade and security equipment. Experienced Security Monitor with quick instincts. Actively monitor surroundings and guards physical, monetary and personnel assets. Establishes policies and action plans to guarantee success and optimal team performance. Solid history training team members on standard protocol when patrolling large crowds.
Long story short, I have been striving for climbing the ranks to be more than just another grunt for a very long time. I know how to work with a team and how to make sure everyone plays nice as needed. A supervisor is required to be more than the sum of his parts and is no longer just a coworker, but a leader. And that takes guts, and lots of diplomacy. And fair bit of courage.
