Volunteer Work
In high school I volunteered with a program for at risk kids called mentors and meals. We provided after school tutoring, and a meal for the students, as well as a safe space to hang out after school.
In high school I also volunteered with a program for the special needs community in my hometown called jesus prom. We would take them on a red carpet, let them get their hair and makeup down, and then we would dance with them all night long.
I have had the opportunity to volunteer with an MSD classroom and job shadow the classrooms Occupation Therapist. I have been able to watch her create different tasks and activities to help them with their primary motor function.
