As the formerly weird, artsy kid at the back of the classroom-turned serious academic-evolved into the sunny teacher at the front of the classroom, I have always given the world something to think about. In that sense, my seeking a new professional life in copywriting is simply the latest iteration of a life as a creative person. I like discovering ideas, products, and services that in the most unscientific terms help me vibe in the world. But probably more than that, I love helping others make those discoveries for themselves - it simply adds to my happiness, which I hope, as crazy as it sounds, is a viable way to make a career. For the moment, while I search for a new career in writing, I’ll continue teaching, and maybe even post new art on Instagram (handle: originally_yamel).
