  • 1, 18/7-18, Here I read scopes and prints to gather information I would need to install the right size of conduit, the proper fittings and the right wire to pull with ease
  • Also, I fabricated and installed conduit sizes ranging from ¾’’ to 4”, and build supports for it to hang from
  • We worked a lot with fiber optic cable and 3” aluminum conduit
  • We also were in and out of manholes a lot because most of the fiber optic went underground
  • With all the hard work safety is always my priority, every morning I would fill out a JSA listing what area I will be working in, what I will be doing, and what I plan on doing
  • Also, listing what tools I will be using, what hazards could be involved with the work, and finally how to prevent it from happening
  • Once that is done I will have given it to my foreman to review and sign off on
  • I am a strong believer in “my brother’s keeper” and asking for help when needed, a person should never feel ashamed of that.

  • Used a chicago bender, 555, 535 and power pony and built supports for it to hang from
  • I also fabricated and hung cable tray throughout these different locations
  • I read scopes to understand the job and plan out our work day
  • In the scope it would give details from point A to point B, what size of conduit and what type of wire to pull
  • Pull the footage of wire after a walk-through stripe it, tag it and terminate if possible
  • All depending on the instructions of our supervisor.
  • Safety is priority to me, it secures the job, gives everyone a safe work environment, addresses the hazards if there are any, cause at the end of the day everyone has a loving family they must get back to.
