Summary

I have worked in the field of education for over 30 years. I enjoy working with both parents and students helping them navigate through the educational process. I began working with the virtual program while still at my full time job at Blue Ridge Middle. I worked many hours to help make the virtual program a success. I took on the head counseling position at the virtual program to help develop this new program. Learning how to multi-task all the responsibilities in this new world of technology has been a great experience. Everything we experienced this year had to be looked at from a different perspective. Figuring out ways to work with small groups, distribute information to both parents and students, contacting community resources to aid with our students all had to be designed differently than these tasks would in a brick and mortar setting.
