PTA President, Waiakeawaena Elementary School

  • Managed twelve to fifteen executive board members, as well as several committee chairpersons and volunteers, to successfully orchestrate all school events, fundraisers and projects.
  • Coordinated all fundraising events, which included Kau Kau card, School Kine Cookies, Trick-o-Treat Parade, End of the Year Splash Day, Fitness Day, etc.
  • In charge of developing, implementing, and running the PTA General Meetings, which included obtaining over a hundred prizes from various businesses for the meetings, annual PTA Christmas party and recruiting over fifty volunteers for this event.
  • Initiated, developed and supervised various fundraising events, which helped the school earn well over $15, 000 to help support academic and recreational activities.
  • Supported and helped to increase membership growth and retention. As a result, we received multiple awards for increasing membership by 10% each year.
  • Created, prepared and led monthly PTA meetings, including the general meetings for over fifty volunteers and staff.
