My way of honoring my Pueblo ancestors is through Pueblo Weaving. Weaving is important to the Pueblo people and not only does it symbolize history but this includes plants, animals, crops, clouds, rain and life. The specific textile I work with is the sash belts. Each design represents life's ups and downs, water, crops and many earth elements. This body of work keeps our traditional Pueblo designs and art form alive and honors my ancestors who took the time, patience, and creativity to weave these textiles that are still used to this day
