Over the course of four decades I have worked and managed work in the worlds largest and technically advanced fire research facility. My work involved practically every construction trade and construction role. I have served as pipe fitter, carpenter, electrician, mechanic and heavy equipment operator. I served many years as fire testing instrumentation specialist and date acquisition specialist. I was on the ground floor as the FM Global transitioned from pen dragger data recorders to a full blown computerized data acquisition and control system.
Eventually I became the Manger / AVP of the FM Global Research Campus consisting of 1600 acres spread over two states with over 125 employees. It is the largest facility of it's kind dedicated to commercial and industrial property loss prevention. The Campus was a very dynamic enterprise, always changing and always growing. As Manager it kept my construction design and management skills sharp.
I might want to add that I have lived on a dirt road for twentyfour years and maintained it for those twentyfour years.
Provided construction management and trade expertise to various building projects.
