I enjoy working with my desk -top computer at home. But, in review, I am most grateful to the Salvation Army on two counts. Firstly, they hired me after I served my prison sentence por 1 year , when no-one else would.SDecondly, they were the only Company to offer me a Retirement Pension...I have my rewgrets, that I did not stay with you longer, in order to take a full ongoing pension, but I received the lump sum pay check, instead...Now, I pray to God, that you will re-hire me into rhis part-time position to make up for my past mistake, so that it will at least supplement my regular monthly Social Security Pension.
I was hired for this job, receiving charitable donations at the Beaverton drive in sir. I worked full-time accepting and storing them in the pod. I assisted the truck driver loading each day, wheeling full clothing and bric-a-brack carts onto the truck. Then I took charge of the pre-requisite number of additional empty carts for further processing tne next day. I remained on this position until I retited 6years llater, at age 65.
I am 74 years old, but , living with my sister, in the home we both inherited nfrom our deceased parents, we still have fgar to go to pay off the mortgage. This is the main reason I wish to take this position, for which I will always be blessed by God and Your Wonderful Company.
The Catholic Knights of Columbus, which suopports St. Therese Parish in outer Northeast Portland.
I am definatejly a few pounds overweight...so, thisnisn, for mr, a good form of exercise. The Knights meet up on the first Tuesday of each month, to plan their agenda which r takes a burden off of the parish priest's back, by running parish events on a volunteer basis.
I am not looking for full time work, since I retired from the Salvation Army, 10 years ago. This job already seems like a God send. I do drive an automobile, so getting to and from the job site will be no problem. I look forward to working for you in this new capacity, God Willing...
