My main duties surrounded architecting and troubleshooting Microsoft technologies, specifically:

As an architect - my main goals were always to create right fit solutions for my clients and their needs.

As a training architect at ACG, it was my responsibility to create educational content that is meant to both help subscribers learn what they need to successfully take certification exams for Azure technologies, but also to help build skills necessary to succeed in roles dealing with cloud technologies

• Created Detailed Lesson Plans to help develop skills from the ground up in the associated technology
• Responsible for courses such AZ-204: Developing Solutions for Azure, Introduction to Azure Networking, VMWare on AWS Specialization Certification, Intro to Linux on Azure, & various labs on creating and configuring services in Azure.
• Contributed to free community content on high-level topics surrounding Azure such as summarized updates and explanations of Microsoft technologies

Primarily responsible for Cloud Development, Strategy, & Security. Workloads involved project planning & implementation, researching solutions to business pain points, assisting other member of the IT Operations team, and teaching/mentoring other staff.

• Performed analysis & configuration of Hybrid Infrastructure using tools such as Entra ID Connect & Exchange Hybrid tools.
• Created Governance & Compliance rules through the use of Azure Policy

As the Senior DBA at Melaleuca, I was responsible for operations on 130+ SQL Server database instances in 8 countries

• Re-engineered backups processes and updated most instances from SQL 2003/2008 to 2012/2014
• Maintained access controls to data utilizing both Native SQL logins & Active Directory
• Optimized SQL Instances to AWS standards for IaaS systems.
• Recovered roughly $25,000 through auditing licensing and ensuring proper management procedures.
• Secured databases through a mixture of implementing Transparent Data Encryption practices and enforcing SSL connections to databases
• Secured Backups by enforcing encrypted backup policies for databases containing sensitive data

The primary DBA responsible for all SQL Server instances and their underlying infrastructure

• Built regular maintenance policies and procedures
• Standardized SQL Installation process & configurations
• Worked with Systems Administrators to automate SQL Server virtual server deployments
• Performance optimized systems suffering from high disk latency & high query runtimes
• Rebuilt Backups to utilize a mixture of RedGate SQL Backup & native sql backups

As a contractor for BofI, I was asked to aid in Systems Engineering tasks while simultaneously optimizing & securing their database infrastructure. I additionally helped to set up and occasionally act in a computer forensics capacity.

• Support of 30+ SQL Server instances
• Built ETL processes to migrate data from all SQL instances into Jack Henry Data Warehouse
• Implemented & considered Subject Matter Expert on EnCase forensic application
• Developed policies for data access management & compliance
• Supported Development teams working under Agile methodologies.

Originally started at Bridgepoint as a Systems Administrator responsible for building and maintaining systems for our student CRM service & Imaging solutions

• Oversaw Windows Server & Linux systems and features specific to each ecosystem such as Windows Terminal Services/RDS, Print services, NLB, Active Directory, and Application servers
• Eventually joined the database team to oversee SQL Server and MySQL inventory
• Monitoring and Maintenance of SQL Server & MySQL systems & automated processes
