
Upon receiving a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice in 2013, I joined the California Department of Corrections in 2015. Since joining, I have expanded my knowledge as a Correctional Officer while working various positions throughout Centinela State Prison. I have some experience with Correctional Counselor I as an out of class actor and in a limitedterm position, where I was exposed to the duties of a Counselor.
Job duties of Correctional Counselor I including but not limited to: Preparing classification reviews, reading and analyzing report from Law Enforcement Agencies, gathering information from documents/rap sheets, preparing reports for BPH, screening for programs such as MCRP/CAL ID, review family visiting applications, creating 128G and 128B chronos, adressing CSR audit/Correction, and following department/supervisor directives.
