Grades K-5 Leads special education team of 6 focused on leveraging data to develop and implement growth plans (individualized education plans) across multiple subjects and disciplines Construct and implement instruction, accommodations, and modifications for 6-students with disabilities across multiple grade levels in inclusive settings Responsible for education-specific learning & development curriculum/projects including: o Developed seven summer training curriculum projects including topics related to literacy and through the launch brought consistency, standards, and instruction for delivery to 11 schools within the district with 100% implementation o Co-created an Executive Functioning skills curriculum to teach time-management, prioritization, goal setting, and achievement and launched to 11 schools within the district o Co-led Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports for 8 years, providing education strategies for building positive communities and tools obstacles for a staff of 40 o Led Restorative Justice/Responsive Classroom program for 2 years, sharing proactive tactics for leading in a safe environment Consults a variety of stakeholders (parents, students, teachers & related service providers) to create an individualized education plan Create a goal-setting program by leveraging data, externally published reports, and best practices Progress monitor launched programs against goals and benchmarks to identify effectiveness and yield desired results
Perform one-on-one coaching while frequently revisiting programs, re-evaluate progress and make adjustments to achieve the desired outcome Manage two aides by providing strategy for students to ensure alignment, effectiveness and enhance performance Virtually led classroom instruction using a variety of technologies including Zoom, G-Suite for Education Deliver Trained the Trainer for professional development programs for 40-teachers and 2-administrators in a variety of programs for their day-to-day use, including but not limited to: Co-Lead a virtual professional development training for Antibias/Antiracist Club for teaching staff to leverage and rollout in their classrooms Led Professional Learning Community and taught teaching staff on how to use reading strategy in the classroom Participated in extensive professional development through S.E.E.D and Beyond Diversity to focus on culturally relevant teaching strategies specific to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Collaborate daily with school social worker, speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, general education teachers and other team members Interview, hire, and mentor new special education teachers
