Work History

Graduate Assistant

Idaho State University
Pocatello, ID
08.2018 - Current
  • Proposed and implemented research focused on Drug Discovery in neurological diseases involving nicotinic acetylcholine receptor resulting in two published, three working and one submitted publication.
  • Tutored and mentored each batch for PharmD courses, at least five graduate lab rotations, and supervised three undergraduate lab internships over a five-year period.
  • Contributed to the creation of four distinct course syllabi and lesson plans, while also managing grading and overseeing the course management system (MOODLE) for the following courses: Human Physiology I and II, Physiological Basis of Drug Design, and Biological Basis of Drug Design
  • Conducted operation, maintenance and troubleshooting on different lab instruments like two electrode voltage clamp, OPENTRON robotics, HPLC/Mass SPEC, Surface Plasmon Resonance, AAPTEC peptide synthesizer, gel electrophoresis, Polymerase Chain Reaction, Vis-Spectroscopy.

Part-time CS Student

Idaho State University
Pocatello, ID
05.2020 - Current
  • Contributed in development of Augmented Reality(AR)/Virtual Reality(VR) templates for CAES-ISU funded diaster response training for civil and military sector.
  • Completed proof of concept study on virtual reality induced motion sickness where teleportation navigation significantly reduced motion sickness experience as compared to walking/running(77% higher) and flying navigation(70% higher)
  • Developed a C++-based SIR simulation model of COVID progression, identifying that increases in the Reproduction Number (Ro) and Rate of Transmission (beta), coupled with shorter doubling times, signify heightened feasibility of disease spread.
  • Developed algorithm for novel visualization from atac sequence data derived from experimental osterosarcoma mouse model.
  • Designed robust database infrastructure for a Central
Idaho based small specialty shop–– “Wind River of the lost Range" on MySQL databases using phpMyAdmin.
  • Developed machine learning models achieving 96% accuracy for breast cancer classification using Random Forest, 88% accuracy for Alzheimer's image classification employing neural network models like EfficientNet, and 90% accuracy for sentiment analysis of Amazon customer reviews through NLP-based LSTM.

Lecturer

Kantipur College of Medical Sciences
Kathmandu, Bagmati
07.2016 - 08.2017
  • Taught pharmaco-epidemiology and bio-pharmaceutics for class of 40 students in diploma level pharmacy program
  • Overseen field visits for pharmaco-epidemiology, labs for biopharmaceutics, terminal exams, and counselling for students and parents
