- Answer call lights in a timely manner
- Perform the cleaning and sterilization of equipment, patient rooms, and work areas
- Perform procedures and treatments designed to prevent physical deterioration and as assigned and document appropriately

- Restock chart forms, care plans, and other required paperwork
- Gather and provide information as directed
- Ensure inventory at nurses station and other areas are adequately stocked with supplies necessary for efficient operation
- Transport patients to and from department and assigned rooms in a safe manner and notify appropriate personnel
- Empty trash and receptacles at nurses station and in patient rooms at end of shift
- Obtain signatures from patients or responsible parties for services rendered
- Admit, transfer, and discharge emergency room patients and inpatients

- Receive and properly account for cash or credit card payments for services rendered
- Admit patients into the computer system for in-patient status when the business office is closed
