Aaliyah Frank

After High School, I will be attending Manhattanville University in Purchase, New York. I will be majoring in Marketing and hopefully minoring in musical theater. I have also been recruited to play on their Field Hockey team. I also plan on living on campus.

High School has always been busy for me. I have been playing field hockey at DHS for all 4 years now. This past year I was awarded the title of captain. It has been a great opportunity where I have been to grow my communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. That same season I was awarded the Varsity Sportsmanship award, along with the DHS Field Hockey Spirit award. I plan on developing myself as a player and as a person at Manhattanville next year.

In addition to playing Field Hockey I also played lacrosse for the first 3 years of school.

After field hockey season ends, I do musical theater. I have been in 3 shows at DHS. In Sister Act!, 2022, I was a featured role, Sister Mary Martin of Tours. In Once Upon A Mattress, 2023, I was ensemble. In Mamma Mia!, 2024, I am a lead, Tanya, I was also awarded the title of Dance Captain, and I also run the advertisement aspect of the show.

I have been apart of Tri-M for 3 years now and was elected President at the end of last year. Since then, the other officers and I have been able to organize countless events and performances. We've sung at the hospital during the holidays for patients, family, and workers. We've had many coffee houses, and at the end of the year we will have our showcase. Our chapter consists of 60 of the most talented and driven musicians at DHS.

I have been apart of yearbook for just 2 years now. At the end of last year I was given the title of co-editor. Since then I have grown my networking skills, I have also been able to design and create spreads for the book.

I am co-president of my church's youth group, St. Ann's Youth Group. We've been able to help the community, the congregation, and anyone in need.

Throughout all of this I have maintained my job at Shoprite and regularly work.
