I am currently employed at Dr Mario Anzaldua Family Practice as a medical office specialist. My main duty in this position is to greet patients, check them in, and provide them with their future appointments. While working in this role, I have also been assigned to create referrals to specialist for the patients, make prior authorizations for insurances, medical records, set up patients for disability determination appointments, and distribute files.
While being employed at JCPenney my main role was to organize the sales floor, assist the customers in finding items, keeping the fitting rooms tidy, restocking the floor, and , when needed, working in the stockroom and curbside. My time at JCPenney allowed me to be able to work on my customer service skills, which further transferred over to assisting the patients in my current job.
