BeatHemorrhage: Youth for Maternal Health
12.2023 - Current

Started organization BeatHemorrhage to advocate for postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) and provide a platform for women to speak out about their experiences with PPH. Educates women about maternal health through social media (reaching 1,000+ people online monthly). Partnered with Upstate Hospital’s BestBeginnings classes and Crouse Hospital to provide brochures to all pregnant female patients to educate them about the risks of PPH. Have educated 10,000+ women to date.

Spent 150+ hours immersed in a hospital setting. Engaged in patient interaction: helped women in labor, comforted anxious family members in the ER, escorted people to their appointments, provided patients comfort by listening to them and giving gifts.

St. Josephs Hospital Auxiliary Award for Volunteering: Selected from 60+ volunteers as most impactful volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital, summer 2023.
