I am a highly motivated individual that thrives to be the best. I have been in printing nearly all of my adult life (30+ years). I am a well-rounded journeyman in Lithographic Offset and Flexographic Wide and Narrow Web printing. I am very quality minded and take great pride in whatever it is that I am doing. I am also very good at maintaining the machines and have always been an asset to maintenance. I have good color matching skills and anilox selection knowledge. I have a good understanding of Microsoft Office, X-rite, ColorPro, QMI color management, Lithotel and ColorMeasure with Pantone Live.
My most recent job experience is Production Superintendent at WestRock Graphic Solutions Pre-Print in Las Vegas NV. This was a startup company in Oct 2019 then running production in February 2020 and becoming WestRock Graphics Solutions Plant of the Year in 2021. I oversaw all of Production with 34 employees and 5 Direct Reports. This includes implementing and keeping up the Daily Management System(DMS), ordering plant supplies using JDEdwards with yearly budget, KIWI Champion - verifying all production data is correct and exported daily/troubleshooting any issues with the KIWI programs. Training and updating plant personnel how to use KIWI for their dept.
Monitor and communicate production metrics such as waste, uptime, setup time, scheduled downtime, unscheduled downtime, runspeed and cost of non-quality.
With this being a startup company, I was a major part of getting the press crews trained with the press capabilities and flexography printing.
I have always enjoyed teaching those that what to learn and that has kept me in a lead role one way or another.
