Tacoma Watershed River Reclamation Project
- Pushed over standing trees with root ball attached
- Hauled to staging area
- Used Tigercat 855 Self leveling shovel to place root ball trees into river for fish habitat and salmon spawning areas
- Used chainsaw to remove bark around trunk of tree to create standing dead nesting trees for birds
October - November 2019
Double Fork Ranch Bitterroot River Restoration Project
- Used Cat D8 Dozer to remove gravel bar, used root ball trees that were buried into the bank, to secure the bank
- Used sod lifts wrapped in a coconut wrap for river bank stabilization
- Replanted with trees with trees and shrubs for river bank stabilization
- Reformed the river bottom from shallow to deep, with a rock J hook to slow river momentum coming into an inside corner
- Used Cat 336 Excavator to perform the rock J hook, and reforming the river bottom
- Used Cat D5 Dozer for finish shaping the river bank
- Worked closely with wildland hydrologist Dave Rosgen, PH, P.H.D in performing the restoration project
