Database Management and Development

• DDL: Designed and implemented database schema structures, including tables, indexes, and constraints.
• DML: Developed and optimized SQL queries for data retrieval, modification, and maintenance.
• Stored Procedures: Created and maintained stored procedures for efficient data processing and business logic execution.
• SQL Server Jobs: Managed scheduled tasks and automated processes using SQL Server Agent jobs and SSIS packages.
• Data Migration: Proficient in writing custom PowerShell scripts to migrate data between SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases. Experience includes data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, handling schema mapping, and ensuring data integrity during migration.

Project Experience

• Historical Legacy Data Program: Consolidated various HR systems containing employee data into a centralized DB/application for Human Resources, improving data accessibility and reporting.
• Integrated Estimating Program: Led the implementation of 7-11 stores into Speedway's integrated estimating program. IEP provides the Construction & Engineering: Cost Controls team the ability to calculate what a new store will cost before building it, resulting in 97% accuracy.
• Real-Estate Portfolio System: Currently rebuilding/architecting the property decision support system PostgreSQL database. PDSS is used by the real-estate/lease team to determine if a property is worth renewing its lease.
  

Support:

• Managed the ServiceNow ticket queue, addressing incidents and requests related to Speedway's Applications on SQL Server.
• Assisted users with access requests and resolved issues related to failed jobs.
• Participated in an on-call rotation to promptly address any emergent issues with enterprise applications.

Documentation:

• Documented step-by-step instructions for common issues.
• Outlined procedures for granting user access.
• Compiled guidelines for maintaining database integrity.
  

Development:

• Data modeling: Helped create star schema in PostgreSQL for air force data feeds
• Bash scripting: Refresh loads/data feeds, backups schemas/tables, sync tables across databases to remote server
• Cron scheduling – scheduling backup scripts
• Support – Handle monthly refreshes as well as work with data analysts on specific tasks/data dumps

• Desktop Support for PZI.
• Built APRT (Aaron’s Protest and Ratification Tool) in Microsoft Access for PZI.
• Built PIWG Tracker in Microsoft Access (SQL/VBA) for F-35.

• Sort & pickup packages at the USPS facility center
