Manufacturing Supervisor

  • Lead a team ranging from 18 to 21 production technicians. Consisting of cnc mill operators, nesting, and finishing technicians.
  • Responsible for daily production averaging 1000 individual jobs including custom abutment, crown and bridge, and screw retained bar and bridge restorations. Maintain operation of 32 cnc mills ensuring required materials available and loaded for production volume.
  • Monitor production progress daily through both team interaction, as well as order tracking software. Identify possible bottlenecks, prioritize and delegate resources as required to achieve production targets and optimize workflow.
  • Evaluate jobs found to be outside standard quality specifications daily with quality inspection team. Quickly establish root cause, identify and implement necessary resolution strategy. Maintaining consistent quality and reducing requirement of remakes.


  • Introduce continuous improvement initiative in collaboration with Senior Management team. Provide site specific training on fundamentals of reduction in waste and 5S for manufacturing teams. Establish projects, goals, provide support, and recognition of resulting improvements.
  • Compile, analyze, and create reports of production data to identify opportunities for improvement. Measurable examples include identifying common design characteristics in crown and bridge jobs requiring remake. Working with Engineering to improve milling strategy resulting in significant reduction of scrap. Analysis of milling tool wear in production of custom abutments. Determining supplier suggested tool usage was conservative. Significantly decreasing use of tools required, associated cost in abutment production. Collaborate with Quality and Logistics teams to establish optimal batch size of jobs from Production to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Work closely with Quality team to maintain compliance in training requirements for Production team, and associated documentation. Review and update as required work instructions for all production processes.
  • Support Quality in preparation for regulatory audits including internal as well as multiple FDA inspections.
  • Conduct performance evaluation and calibration for Production team members. Understand and establish goals for growth beyond current position. Develop a plan for success in achieving development goals.
  • Review potential team member applications as provided by Human Resources partner. Work with Talent Acquisition partner in determining alignment of position requirements and candidate viability.






Quality Control Inspector
