  • Collaborated with Operational Excellence Leads for all manufacturing sites to create and implement standardized continuous improvement program. Including training curriculum, reporting tools for progress, results, and recognition.
  • Collected, analyzed, and reported plant performance data used in identifying opportunities for improvement initiatives.
  • Led cross-functional teams in process improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement culture.
  • Successful process improvement initiatives included implementing kanban system for materials, tooling, and supplies required in all areas of manufacturing. Reducing waste in time and transpiration no longer requiring technicians identify need, quantity, and frequency of ordering.
  • Analysis of tool usage in milling of custom abutments. It was determined supplier suggested usage requiring replacement was conservative for tool most often replaced.   • Responsible for daily production averaging 1000 individual jobs including custom abutment, crown and bridge, and screw retained bar and bridge restorations. Maintain operation of 32 cnc mills ensuring optimized operation, required tooling, materials and maintenance.
  • Monitor production performance of all jobs in process to maintain optimal workflow at nesting, milling, and finishing. Identified possible disruptions to production. Quickly establishing and communicating to team course of action including changes in priority and focus of resources. Ensuring delivery times consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Evaluate jobs found to be outside standard quality specifications daily with quality inspection team. Quickly establish root cause, identify and implement necessary resolution strategy. Maintain consistent high standards of quality and reducing requirement of remakes.
  • Introduce continuous improvement initiative in collaboration with Senior Management team. Provide site specific training on fundamentals of reduction in waste and 5S for manufacturing teams. Establish projects, goals, provide support, and recognition of resulting improvements.
  • Compile, analyze, and create reports of production data to identify opportunities for improvement. Measurable examples include identifying common design characteristics in crown and bridge jobs requiring remake. Working with Engineering to improve milling strategy resulting in significant reduction of scrap.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Logistics teams to establish optimal batch size of jobs from Production to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Work closely with Quality team to maintain compliance in training requirements for Production team, and associated documentation. Review and update as required work instructions for all production processes.
