Instrument Technician

Crosstex Energy Inc.
10.2009 - 08.2010

My job consist of maintaining all of Crosstex Energy’s cryogenics
facilities in south west Louisiana. I was responsible for all
preventative maintenance, repairs and new install throughout the
Eunice facility, Esterwood facility (Blue Water), and the Sabine
facility. My duties consist of maintaining all DCS systems, PLC
systems, pneumatic systems and electrical systems. My facilities
contain several different types of PLC’s that control our processes
with precision accuracy. The PLC’s control several brand’s of
pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters. A few brands that I
work with on the daily basis are Foxboro, Yokigawa, and Rosemount.
These facilities also have turbine compressor’s with old and new
controls, ranging from the Solar Centar’s packages which have relays
and relay logic, the Allison 501 with York compressors that have MS
DOS programming and Texas Instruments controls with TCSD shutdowns,
the GE LM2500 turbine with an Ingersoll Rand compressor, and last but
not least the Rolls Royce 570 with York compressor that have an Allen
Bradley PLC for its controls. The Allison’s and Rolls Royce turbines
and Compressors both have Bentley Nevada 3500 series vibration and
thrust monitoring protection. It is my responsibility to properly
maintain all mentioned and repair when necessary. Our DCS systems are
made by Rosemont and Foxboro, and their HMI are Foxboro Foxview and
the well known Wonder Ware.

Love to fish, hunt and spend time with my family

I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids. We love to go on adventurous vacations in the mountains or beaches. I coach for my kids baseball and football teams. When the wife allows I will hunt small game and deer with or without kids but mostly with son Aaron Jr. Wife and kids love to fish with me and we love to go to Toledo Bend and catch white perch and bass. I work hard so that we can do the things we enjoy. Also I work safe so that I can come home to them the same way I left.
