Hi my name is Aaryan Chitnis and I am a freshman at Tufts University. I am a prospective double major in Data Science and Economics. My interests are global markets, international trade, agriculture, geopolitics, and American politics. I have a wide array of experiences from working on numerous political campaigns to running the world's largest Edtech hackathon.
My hobbies include reading books, working out, playing Axis and Allies, and watching movies.
I helped organize and run the largest EdTech hackathon in history, which has grown significantly over the past few years. We started with 700 participants in 2022, and the event raised and distributed over $40,000. In 2023, we saw 1,000 participants, and by 2024, the number grew to 1,200. We've been fortunate to have incredible sponsors like Google, Backblaze, and Code Ninja, and we've hosted distinguished guest speakers such as US Senator Chris Murphy and GitHub founder Tom Preston-Werner. After three successful hackathons, we're now gearing up for our fourth event, and I’m excited about what’s to come. My role included in researching the Edtech industry for potential sponsors, communicating with executives at these companies, and reaching out to university CS clubs to acquire new participants. I also spent significant time researching different aspects of submitted projects during the grading process
