As a teller we process multiple types of transactions everyday. We have to balance our own drawers as well as the vault, coin machine, cash machines and ATM. We work with customers with every transaction either in the lobby or in the drive up. We are required to answer phones make changes to customers accounts make debit cards, cashiers checks and have to be able to determine whether or not we have verified if we are talking to a customer and be aware if there is fraudulent activity and or if scammers are trying to take advantage of our customer. We keep up with reports and calling the customer on overdrawn accounts and if we need updated addresses for them and recommend products needed to better our customers time and money with the bank.
As a waitress or jobs were to welcome the consumers determine whether or not they are from here or traveling, get their drinks orders/ recommend trying something out of the ordinary on our menu, then get their food orders while being a tour guide and explaining what they were able to order and how they would like it made. Provide a happy and comfortable environment all while maintaining the ability to run out other orders and drinks as quick as possible and have the fastest turn times while never running out of anything the consumer needed and keeping up with restocking the your station in the kitchen at every shift. As a host and ToGo person our role was to complete every task quickly and thoroughly while making the consumer aware of the timeline with which their food/table would be ready. As a ToGo you needed to be very detail oriented at keeping the mistakes low and getting every customer what they asked for. As a host we were required to take names and phone numbers down correctly and asking for any accommodations, then reciting the estimated wait time and behind the scenes organizing big party’s and remembering to communicate with the kitchen on big tickets that may be coming in soon.
At feldmans I started as a server and and it was like everything at roadhouse except a way smaller environment. At feldmans we also learned to take the phones and act as hosts, bartenders, expos and togos in one shift while doing side work as well. As I started learning about catering I took on some jobs and became the sole caterer for the Wednesday lions club meetings in canyon as well as some other jobs ranging from 50 to 300 people.
