Assess the company's potential for cost savings, efficiencies, and business opportunities (I was able to close aproject that saved the company over $360,000/year.)
Establish a timeline and action plan for projects with the unit head and other project managers
Manage time and tasks rigorously to ensure successful completion of all phases of projects
I Trained APTA staff on using and implementatio of Asana (APTA recently acquired this project management software).

• Over the course of one year, I developed several grant proposals for county, state, and federal institutions
• Consequently, the annual revenue of the organization increased by 25%
• Automated CAFY’s data management system
• As a result, staff time spent managing data was reduced by 50%
• Implemented four workshops for project implementation
• As a result, staff participation in project development and implementation increased by about 20%.

• Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL), Afghanistan
• Managed and implemented $180 million in IFAD-funded portfolios
• The project funds increased from $23M in 2009 to $180M by 2018
• Awarded contracts to various NGOs ranging from $300,000 to $2 million
• Developed a robust project management office (PMO) composed of financial, procurement, and M&E staff
• Rehabilitated hundreds of rural infrastructures (Irrigation schemes and canals, water supply structures, chuck dams, retaining walls, and rural roads)
• Distributed productive assets (milking cows, poultry programs, horticulture tools) to 450,000 households
• Created a dairy development plant with a capacity of ten metric tons
• The plant helped improve the rural economy by purchasing milk from local farmers
• Assisted thousands of households through rural microfinance program.

• Developed a robust strategic plan for selected provincial municipalities
• The plan helped municipalities set five-year goals and priorities
• A comprehensive review of the project budget was completed, shortfalls were identified, and recommendations were made to address the shortfalls
• To reduce the shortfalls, a $5M project proposal was developed and presented to USAID
• Subsequently, the proposal was approved by USAID
• The additional funds provided a great deal of relief to the project team
• Developed SOPs to assist project team in spending budgets according to USAID regulations
• Took a delegation of six mayors to India to meet the Mayor of and get a better understanding of Indian municipal development.

• Initiated a $1M project proposal for the tribal areas on the Pakistan-Afghan border to address grievances of people impacted by war
• Contributed to the design of a USAID-funded Alternative Livelihoods Project
• Project objectives included motivating farmers to grow alternative crops such as saffron and roses instead of poppy
• In collaboration with the department of education, developed a five-year plan for the construction and rehabilitation of primary, middle, and high schools in Namghar province
• Served as field monitor to asses quality of USAID funded rural infrastructure projects (roads, schools, provincial police departments).

• I have designed and implemented hundreds of food for work projects
• The objectives were:
• Repair the rural infrastructure
• Assist families in need of food commodities
• Helped in the design of 2004 Protracted Relief and Recovery Operation
• The total monetary value of the operation was $273M.
