Completed a year-long research project through UMBC’s BIOL302L (Molecular and Genetics Lab) and BIOL316L (Phage Genome Analysis). The project focused on isolating, sequencing, and functionally characterizing a bacteriophage genome. Research was approved and forwarded to the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) for publication. The official title of the paper being published is "The Complete Genome Sequence of the Cluster BE1 Streptomyces Bacteriophage Riptide Includes Genes Encoding Ribosome-Associated Proteins" (MRA00776-25R2).
