PROJECTS

I’ve been an intricate part of several updates and/or replacement projects. Including, but not limited to:

-Three mill loaders in the extruding department which I re-fabricated a $40,000 conveyor potentially saving weeks of downtime at the fifth mill by resolving the issue of the mill feed conveyor being engineered 18” too long.

-The windup scale replacement on the B line we cut apart the $27,000 scale frame and re-fabricated to the correct dimensions and also, successfully complete the job on time.

-Lead and worked in conjunction with contractor on the removal and replacement of 72 B side escapements which was completed ahead of schedule.
-I was the lead on load ups 1,2 and 3 actuator and tilt table upgrades. All of which were successfully completed within allotted time frames.
-Upon witnessing an operator being slapped by tread at finish line 3 end buffer, I developed the idea and installed the design to add a second cylinder to the pinch roller which has prevented any similar occurrence from happening to date.
-Recently, I have started to implement the idea for the tread basket cooling mist system which is currently in the testing phase. I estimate it will use as little as 1/10 the amount of water while maintaining desired results.
