In this in vitro project, we tested the compatibility of biofertilizers containing phosphate-solubilizing and nitrogen-fixing microbes. We isolated the microbes using selective media like Pikovskaya’s and nitrogen-free agar. Dual culture technique was used to check if they grow well together without inhibition. Gram staining and biochemical tests helped identify the microbes. We also observed phosphate solubilization halos and nitrogen-fixing growth.
