- Helped create education materials for complex topics covered in advanced college level physics courses for junior and senior years
- These topics involved complex concepts related to mechanics: dynamics, rotational motion, and harmonic motion
- Learned to effectively break tougher concepts down into smaller easily digestible chunks
- Helped set-up hands-on labs with real-life applications (ie tension and torque in bridges) to help students visualize learned concepts.
Volunteering
Aegis Living - Assisted Living & Memory Care Facility
09.2022 - Current
- Volunteering for about 50 hrs a year since Grade 9, at this 90-unit facility, reporting directly to Care Manager
- Started by auditing activity logs of residents using Excel Sheets with devices. Identified elder's resistance to technology making the process tedious. Overcame by Canva to design visually attractive activity logging sheets. Were accepted by facility management and are now used regularly to survey resident's interest in activities to aid in future plans. Helped remove all friction for residents.
- Currently managing three volunteers. Identified the lack of supportive training materials for new volunteers and staff to learn necessary skills to effectively communicate and connect with residents
- Leading a project to create a digital volunteer hand-book and paired training app to teach new staff members how to engage with senior citizens, and other people suffering from dementia and other neurological diseases.

- Regularly edit advanced write-ups from junior and senior students as part of the elite essay editing team at Mission San Jose High School. Members of the team are qualified to edit essays up to the advanced AP English Literature course
- Learned how to manage projects in a team, got exposure to college level english, and incorporated what I learned into my own writing
- Also got exposure to various types of writing such as scientific articles, research papers, and personal narratives which helped diversify and enhance my english toolbox.
