As a first year college student, I have minimal professional experience. However, I have devoted my full attention to the few organizations and groups I have worked with, and practice the skills and knowledge gained during my time as a volunteer and employee in my day to day interactions.
As a DJ at WLUW, I host a weekly show where I play the latest releases in independent and alternative music. As well as some of my older favorites. I also have the opportunity to host interviews, acoustic performances, and guest DJs.
As a hostess and carryout employee at Aurelio's Pizza of Geneva, I interact with customers as well as fellow staff and employ problem solving, cooperation, time management, and leadership skills. Although the job is quite easy, I believe my dedication to the establishment displays my strong sense of commitment and loyalty to those I work with and for. My managers have described me as "unflappable" due to my quick thinking and problem solving skills, and I enjoy being known as a reliable employee.
As a volunteer on the student board of the Ronald McDonald House, I assisted in coordinating family events, volunteer projects, donation drives, and fundraising events. I found my time as a RMHC volunteer to be incredibly rewarding as well as beneficial as it gifted me with the experience of community outreach and professional interaction.
